Mountain bike Morillon

Host of the Enduro World Cup 2025

For those craving adrenaline and competition, the technical trails of the Morillon Bike Park will host the final round of the UCI Enduro World Cup 2025, scheduled for August 22–24. Expect steep gradients, fast lines, and a world-class course that puts riders to the test in a spectacular alpine setting.

This international recognition places Morillon on the map as a top-tier MTB destination in the French Alps, ideal for training, racing, or simply enjoying the mountains on two wheels.

🚡 Lift access:
Reach the top of the bike park by taking the Morillon gondola lift, then continue higher via the Sairon express chairlift.
This gives you access to the full descent and panoramic alpine views.

All-level MTB Trails at the Morillon Bike Park

Marveline (green): A gentle option to recover and take in the panoramic views of the Grand Massif.
Marvel downhill trail (blue): A technical connection to Les Esserts, perfect for progressing with confidence.
La Stevan (red): 4.5 km of descent with varied gradients — ideal for pushing your limits.
Dré dans l’Pentu (black): Deep roots and steep sections — reserved for seasoned enduro riders. This former Rhône-Alpes Downhill Cup track also hosted the French Masters DH Championships.
L’Arrête (black): Fully wooded, with narrow passages and off-camber turns — a trail designed for experienced riders.

VTT

With its 4,500 meters of length, Marvel offers the perfect opportunity to fully enjoy the bike park, starting from the top of the Sairon chairlift with its panoramic view over the Grand Massif, all the way down to the resort center at Les Esserts.
This is the longest descent in the area, combining a bit of 4×4 track with playful forest sections — perfect for both kids and adults!

And if you feel like taking a break, you’ll find several picnic tables along the trail, ideal for a relaxing pause in the heart of the mountains.

La Stevan – for the motivated riders (red trail)!

Perfect for mountain bikers looking to challenge themselves! Starting from the resort at Les Esserts, this route takes you down steeper slopes all the way to the village of Morillon.
The varied trails offer just the right mix of fun and technical features to help you progress with confidence.

For the most experienced riders, Dré dans l’Pentu (black trail) will meet all your expectations!

A demanding route with steep gradients and technical features — perfect for enduro enthusiasts in search of a real challenge.

Starting from the top of the Sairon chairlift, the Dré dans l’Pentu trail begins after a short stretch of 4×4 track that leads to the official starting point.
True to its name, this black-rated route checks all the boxes for a proper enduro trail: a fast-paced singletrack with plenty of terrain variation and deep exposed roots. It’s a ride that demands skill and focus — especially in wet conditions, where agility becomes essential!

If the trail feels a bit too demanding, don’t worry: about two-thirds of the way down, you can switch onto the Marveline green trail for a smoother, more relaxed descent.
Alternatively, the Marvel blue trail will take you all the way down to Les Esserts resort base.

L’Arrête (black trail) – for advanced MTB riders only

This challenging route is designed for skilled riders, with off-camber sections, tight lines, and technical features throughout. A demanding trail reserved for experienced mountain bikers.

This trail runs entirely through the forest and finishes with a steep descent — everything to thrill advanced riders!
It offers a scenic and technical route from Les Esserts down to the village of Morillon, featuring a series of narrow chutes and off-camber sections that deliver strong sensations.

Speed is guaranteed on dry terrain, while muddy conditions demand technical precision. One thing’s for sure: seasoned riders will never get bored on this trail!
