Get your fill of sensations at the “Lac Bleu” lake

The Lac Bleu lake in Morillon is the perfect place where everyone will find an activity to their liking!
Around this small mountain lake, enjoy the panorama, the beach and the shady lawns, as well as a free and supervised swimming area in summer. Many leisure activities are found in the surroundings.
Les Aventuriers du Lac offers three acrobatic courses suitable for everyone from 3 years old.  The older ones and the most daring ones can enjoy the zip lines over the lake!
Along the same line, Ninj’Arena (from age 5) invites you to defy gravity on a suspended net course: jumps, ninja crossings, slides…


To refresh yourself while playing, there is nothing better than the Splash! An acrobatic and fun course on an inflatable structure for children from 1m20.
The little ones are welcome at Mali’s Parc. Inflatable land and water games with an area for 1 to 3 year olds and another for children up to 11 years old.
The Lac Bleu lake is also a good place to try kayaking and paddle with the whole family and for learning while having fun.

Get amazed in the nature reserve

During summer, a high range of activities are organised for families in the Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval/Passy nature reserve to learn more about the local wildlife in a playful and active way.
Meet the animators on the hiking trails and in the mountain refuges of the nature reserve. They are willing to share their knowledge and to answer all of your questions. Perhaps you will have the chance to observe the well-known bearded vulture or or any other emblematic animal species of the mountains.
Games and activities are also organised to learn while having fun (from 6 years old depending on the activity)!

Take the wheel

Biking along the Giffre River on the walking and cycling path is the perfect way to discover the valley. 

The ski area turns into a downhill mountain biking area with slopes of different grades of difficulty during summer, enjoyed by the most audacious ones. 

Discover many itineraries on the different routes, but also guided bike tours to try the activity with your family!

The pump track near the Lac Bleu (for everyone and free) is ideal to practise with a bike, a scooter, or a skateboard… 

Forward march

Enjoy amazing nature scenery on Haut-Giffre hiking trails. Here are some walks suggestions:

Between Verchaix and Samoëns, the Bourgeoise is the panoramic viewpoint on the valley’s summits and the Mont Blanc massif.

In Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, the classified and must-see Cirque du Fer-à-Cheval will amaze young and old alike.

In Verchaix, the Lornaz trail is a nice and educational path informing about the village’s heritage through display boards.

In Morillon, the family walk towards la Vieille alpine pasture goes through one of the numerous alpine pastures of Haut-Giffre and enables you to discover how people used to live there. 

In La Rivière-Enverse, an art walk goes along the Giffre River, a funny and unique activity.

In Châtillon sur Cluses, the chemin des Guers offers a beautiful view on the lower part of the valley and on the Marcely Peak.

Refresh yourself

The Giffre River is your playground for whitewater activities (6 years old minimum depending on the activity) that will refresh the whole family.

Many activities like rafting are provided. But also packraft, a more challenging and complete activity that consists in walking along the river with an individual inflatable kayak in the backpack and then kayaking down. Then, hydrospeed consists in lying prone on a board with fins. It is also possible to do canyoning, travelling in canyons through various natural slides.

Discover traditions

Haut-Giffre has a rich cultural heritage and overflows with farms where you can stuck up on tasty products. Some farms offer guided tours like Croës Canailles, and others like la ferme des Tines can be visited on your own.

In the Clos Parchet Farm and Folk Museum, immerse yourself in the history of a former traditional farm in Haute-Savoie from 1815. The “Guides du Patrimoine Savoie Mont Blanc” (Savoie Mont Blanc heritage guides) will guide you through the rooms and the historical items exhibition (more than 2,000 utensils bearing witness of farm work and former jobs). This family friendly and immersive visit will catch everyone’s attention.

Cani-kart  (from 2 years old) is about seating comfortably in the kart, and letting the musher and sled dogs take you to explore the valley.

“Mountain Expériences” offers a wide range of activities as multi activities courses or à la carte for the youngest ones (8 to 12 years old) and teenagers (13 to 17 years ol). Mountains are also about climbing : via ferrata, climbing route
