In spring, the Cirque du Fer-à-Cheval reveals one of its most beautiful sides. With waterfalls swollen by the melting snow and nature in full bloom, this easy circular walk is perfect for an accessible exploration of the site.

🌿 A loop suitable for everyone

This walk is a circular route lasting between 1½ and 2 hours with a gentle climb (160 m). It is suitable for families as well as walkers looking for a leisurely stroll.

The trail winds through meadows, woodland and wetlands, offering a beautiful variety of landscapes without any technical difficulties.

🌸 Spring: nature comes to life

As winter draws to a close, the Giffre Valley comes back to life: alpine flowers, buds, birdsong… The atmosphere is peaceful and perfect for nature watching.

⚠️ Important: in spring, the bottom of the valley is not accessible due to the risk of avalanches. This circular route is therefore an excellent, safe alternative for exploring the cirque whilst enjoying stunning views.
