This lake is located at the heart of the Fiz mountain range in the nature reserve of Sixt-Passy. Accessible only by foot from Sixt Fer à Cheval or from Passy by Anterne mountain pass.
Altitude 2000 m. With a surface area of around 10 hectares, it lies at the bottom of a cirque bordered by peaks, to the north of the Fiz cliff. Surrounded by alpine meadows, the environment appears rather wild, but nevertheless populated by marmots, ptarmigan and ibex. Swimming prohibited
