Nordic activity day

1

Experience Nordic and local activities with the whole family, free of charge, in a friendly and festive atmosphere at the Cirque du Fer-à-Cheval!

Saturday activities Saturday will be devoted entirely to mountain sports and fun. Visitors can try their hand at biathlon and rifle shooting, an activity that combines precision and endurance. Two-wheeled enthusiasts will enjoy a fat bike experience, ideal for exploring the snow in a different way. Families will appreciate the pony-luge, an original winter activity suitable for the very young. The more curious can try their hand at an avalanche victim search simulation, a practical introduction to mountain rescue techniques. There will also be an orienteering trail to explore the area. Sunday activities Sundays will focus on nature and winter discoveries. We'll be offering snowshoe outings, accompanied by wildlife activities to help you understand the secrets of mountain life in winter. You'll also be able to enjoy a dog-sledding experience (depending on conditions), as well as horse-drawn carriage or sleigh rides, ideal for a gentle immersion in the snow-covered landscape. For children, there will be a range of fun workshops, including learn'o (from 3 years) and biat'mômes (from 5 to 10 years), offering an adapted version of biathlon. In the afternoon, a conference on alpine fauna will provide an opportunity for exchange and awareness-raising. A farmers' market will round off the day, showcasing local flavours and know-how. Activities on offer over the two days Throughout the weekend, visitors can try their hand at cross-country skiing, accessible to all levels. Younger visitors will also have access to the children's garden and Piou-Piou initiations, perfect for a gentle first glide. A climbing wall will be set up on both days, allowing everyone to try out climbing on a structure. Fans of alternative snow sports will be able to try out the paret and the yooner, two fun machines for hurtling down the slopes in a friendly atmosphere. Finally, yoga sessions will be offered throughout the event, for a moment of relaxation and refocusing in the heart of winter.
