On Sunday August 3, 2025, the Haut-Giffre valley will vibrate to the rhythm of top-level cycling with the passage of the Tour de France Femmes, the flagship event on the UCI Women's World Tour calendar. This 3ᵉ edition promises a spectacular route, linking Brittany to the Alps, for a high-mountain finale. The world's best cyclists will take on a demanding route, crossing Megève, Combloux and Sallanches in particular. After crossing the côte d'Arâches-la-Frasse, they will continue their efforts through Châtillon-sur-Cluses, Morillon and Samoëns, before tackling the terrible climb of the Col de Joux-Plane: 11.6 km at an average gradient of 8.5%. It's a rare opportunity to cheer on the discipline's champions up close, in a magnificent natural setting. The event promises to be as spectacular as it is inspiring for all sports and mountain enthusiasts.
