21st edition of the Rando de la Ramaz

The Ramaz mountain bike and hiking trail is an annual event in the Giffre Valley, held every first Sunday in September, starting from MIEUSSY.

For the 21st year, join us on Sunday, 7 September 2025 for beautiful hikes accompanied by refreshment stops that only Marcelly Aventure knows how to provide! All routes emphasise the pleasure of cycling and walking in the heart of nature, with refreshment stops focused on culinary delights. So get ready for a getaway where every pedal stroke and every step promises new discoveries, and where your energy will be constantly renewed by our delicious refreshments! SUNDAY 7 September: 4 MOUNTAIN BIKE ROUTES Discovery Route ‘the classic’: 19.5 km - 450m elevation gain (departure 9.15am/9.30am - 1 refreshment stop) Ideal for mountain bikers and occasional cyclists. You will wind your way through small paths in the woods, with a moderate elevation gain allowing you to fully enjoy the landscape. A gourmet stop with entertainment will allow you to recharge your batteries before setting off again for the return loop on small single tracks along the Giffre. GPX track coming at the end of August. ‘Au fil de l'eau’ sports route: 40 km - 900m elevation gain (departure 8:45/9:00 a.m. - 3 refreshment stops) Designed for amateur mountain bikers looking for a more challenging but not overly technical experience. It follows small paths through the woods and along the river, with a moderate elevation gain. Three gourmet refreshment stops along the route. GPX track coming at the end of August. Les Coteaux du Giffre Adventure Trail: 54 km - 1,380 m elevation gain (start time 8:30/8:45 a.m. - 4 refreshment stations) More technical and hilly, this trail is designed for enthusiasts looking for a challenge. With trails that require more skill and a few invigorating climbs, the trail offers breathtaking scenery and trails as a reward. Four refreshment stations on this trail. GPX track coming at the end of August ​ Expert Trail ‘Mieussy and the Giffre Hills’: 63 km - 1,815 m elevation gain (start 8 a.m./8:15 a.m. - 4 refreshment stations) For experienced mountain bikers, this route requires endurance and technique. It covers varied terrain, steep slopes, and culminates on ridges offering panoramic views. The four unusual refreshment stations along this route will help you tackle the challenges. GPX track coming at the end of August ​​ SUNDAY 7 September: 2 walking routes ​Short route: 8 km - 250 m elevation gain (start 9 am/9.15 a.m. - 1 refreshment station) GPX track coming at the end of August Long route: 14 km - 550m elevation gain (start 8.15am/8.30am - 2 refreshment stations) GPX track coming at the end of August Discover Mieussy in a new way: this year we're changing hillsides! With two loops to choose from, you can discover or rediscover beautiful wooded trails, pass through magnificent hamlets and admire the Mieussy mountains. The more athletic will climb to higher altitudes and pass through little corners of paradise, while admiring the Bargy, the Aravis and the Arve Valley. And, as always, our gourmet refreshment stations will be on the programme! Recommended age: 8 years and older.
